Peter Abraham is reporting that Andy Phillips is on his way back to the Yankees. That would most likely make Josh Phelps the odd man out. Chris Basak also becomes expendable.

According to YES, Josh Phelps was designated for assignment as Phillips was brought up. It's a wash at hitting and Phillips is a better defensive player, so I like this move.
