Yanks with a big win and their first good performance by a SP this year. Carl Pavano went 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, walking 0 and striking out 2. The Yankees smacked around Sidney Ponson for 8 runs on 8 hits in 5.2 IP. Bobby Abreu and A-Rod hit 2-run HRs. A-Rod now has 5 HRs in the first 6 games, which is a Yankee record.
