    BBTN reported today that Mets fans are unhappy with Minaya because a deal was not made to acquire Manny Ramirez. Would Minaya let this get to him and try and get a deal done soon even after the deadline? Either to please the fans, or to make a serious move to catch up to the Braves in the East?

I've heard the Mets might go after John Franco. Also, the Met said they might want Manny or Alfonso Soriano through waivers.

It definitely would be amazing if they got one of these guys. But should mets fans be so dissapointed? They had a huge offseason, Beltran and Pedro coming on is not enough?
