Mets Injury Updates

Ryan Church(Concussion, Migraines)- Due to start Rehab Game this coming week or so. Back in 2-3 weeks

Luis Castillo(Hamstring, Ankle, Quad, Wrist)- Left rehab in Port St. Lucie for undisclosed "Personal Reasons", and is delayed. Had been 1-15 in rehab games, and likely won't start when he comes back. Will begin rehabbing in Binghamton tomorrow.

Billy Wagner(Forearm Strain)- Has been playing catch in the outfield, will START tomorrow in Binghamton, have one relief appearance, and will return on August 18, the first day he is eligible.

Ramon Castro(Sprained Ankle)-Still experiencing pain, Manuel says he has to play through it.

I thought Church was done for the season. I guess I read that worng.

There were reports that said that the team didn't expect him back, but all along Manuel and Minaya said he would be back.

Other Injured Mets:

Moises Alou(Torn Hamstring)- Out for the year. We knew that.

Orlando Hernandez(Toe, Hip, Back, Groin, BODY)- Supposedly was rehabbing, then stopped....probably out for the year

Tony Armas(Abdomen)- Just moved to the 60 day DL, most likely means he's gone for the year.

Angel Pagan(Shoulder)- Had Shoulder Surgery, out for the year

Marlon Anderson(Hamstring)- Never looked comfortable when he came back from this injury originally, will likely miss at least 2 more weeks.

Trot Nixon(Back)- Played in his first rehab game today...may be back for the end of the season...if the Mets want him.

Matt Wise(Rotator Cuff Tendinitis)- Also sounds like he's out for the year

Ambiorix Burgos(Rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery)- Played in first rehab game today, likely out for the year.

John Maine(Minor Rotator Cuff Strain)- Will return in the upcoming Nationals series, says he has been ready for about a week. Returned last night to go 5 innings, 1 hit, 3 walks, 0 runs.

Marlon Anderson- Still recovering from hammy injury. Hasn't seemed right all year. Has not begun rehab, may not be back for the regular season(no word yet).

Trot Nixon-Has begun rehab, may be back within 2-3 weeks, if the Mets choose to utilize him.

Ryan Church(Concussion, Migraines)- Started rehabbing, played as a DH, appeared in his second rehab game yesterday for AAA New Orleans Zephyrs. He went 0 for 2, but did play 5 innings in the outfield. He is said to be prepared to start again tomorrow, possibly returning by next week.

He's not, haha. He was for about a week, but remember, we are starting Daniel Murphy and Fernando Tatis in the OF....
