I wouldn't exactly say Wright is calling the team mediocre as much as he is calling them out for the mediocre play that has been going on this season. Its good to see Wright is passionate about winning and is becoming the team leader, players like that are hard to come by. As for you Braves fans, you have no room to complain about any sort of losing of late! You guys got enough chances already the past 15 years, now you need to step down and give some other teams a chance. I guess you can be pissed at the Marlins though, if you feel the need.

It's definitely good to see that passion. When it comes to desire to win, Wright is second to none. He's an intelligent guy, always knows what to say to the media. He doesn't pick fights, doesn't create scandal, simply speaks his mind.

Ya, Wright is a great guy to build a team around. One of the rare players that will do anything and everything to help get the Mets a ring. Now if only he could instill some of that spark onto Delgado

I can't wait till Delgado's contract is up. But building a team around Wright, Jose Reyes, and Johan Santana and even John Maine is a TERRIFIC start. And if Uber Prospect Fernando Martinez is what they say he is, this team could actually be good for a long long time.

Its hard to believe Delgado had an OBP of nearly .500 a few years ago. Church is also looking like a great pickup, provided he can bounce back from his injury. That is going to be a big blow to the offense until his return. The future does look bright though, it is hard to argue against a nucleus of Wright, Reyes, and Santana. Arguably the best players at there position if not now then in the near future.
