The best news of the week, Jose Reyes is finally going to start ignoring his detractors and will go back to the high fives, handshakes, dances, and smiles that got him to the big leagues. Carlos Beltran approached Jose before the game on Tuesday, telling Jose that he was "being fake", and that the team needed "the old Jose". Carlos is right. I have been saying for weeks that this team lacked only one thing. Energy/Excitement. They weren't having fun. Jose is the only one who can correct that, and I believe he will. This is much bigger than any non-Mets fan will likely realize. But it is a sign of Beltran's in-house leadership, as well as the true value of Jose Reyes to this team.
