The Mets and Tom Glavine are close to finalizing a two-year, $25 million contract, a source told the New York Daily News.
An especially good compromise for Glavine. The Mets held a $14 million option for 2007 that they weren't looking forward to exercising, and Glavine wasn't about to choose to come back on his $7.5 million player option
