3 have won it that I can recall: Carew, Killer and Zolio. I dont know if Killer ever won multiple MVPs, but I know he had one for sure in either 69 or 70.
Carew's was cool as he hit .388 that year and was the closest any player has closed out a season to finishing .400 since Teddy Ballgame last did it in the early 50's. |

By the way, George Brett hit .390 in 1980. Teddie Ballgame hit .388 in 1957. These are the 3 highest in the AL since Teddie Ballgame's .406 in 1941. |
