Ahaha, I know this one. Dean Chance, 1967.

The only reason that I knew it right away though is because I just happened to watch For The Love of the Game last night. I hadn't seen it before so after watching it, I jump on the net and was looking up perfect games and near misses and happened to see that one.

Next question (again, could be tricky if you don't pay attn)

How many numbers do the Twins have retired? (bonus cyber-points for listing the numbers and the names associated with them)

I meant to type #42 for Jackie Robinson. Sorry for the typo.
For another Twins # question:
How many players have worn the uniform #0 for the Twins?

Good question! I don't really know. But I'll take a stab at it and say no one. #0 is reserved for coaches and/or managers. *shrug*

Try again. It has been worn by a player or players.

Hmm, after thinking about this some more today, I seem to recall a catcher during either the late 80's or early 90's wearing 0... but I can't recall who. I know it wasn't Harper (#12) or Walback (#23 or #24) and Laudner was #15.

THen again, perhaps there was never a catcher wearing #0 and I'm way off base.

*scratches head*

Gonna have think about this a bit more.

I'll give you a hint. He has the same last name as a player that once was a "prospect" for the Twins and was allowed to move on to bigger, better things with another club.

Going to have to go with Junior Ortiz as the guess. I'd assume the prospect in the hint was David Ortiz.

I am going to guess Junior Ortiz as well. He played two season with the Twins from 90 - 91.

If there is a team list with player numbers from 61-2006 please post. I cant find that info.

New Trivia question:

What is the year the Twins won over 100 games?
Who was the Manager and how many season was he in charge?

Not sure if the previous question was correct but I can answer your question for sure. 1965 Twins won 102 games (only Twins team to win over 100). Managed by Sam Mele who coached for 5 full seasons and 2 partial seasons. '65 was obviously the pinnacle when they won the pennant and lost to the Dodgers in the series, despite starting out the series 2-0.

damn Lynch.. That is correct. I will have to come up with a more difficult question. I can't find anything on Twins uniform numbers.

I don't know a lot about the teams from the 60's, but I know the WS squads.

That's correct. My suggestion to you, if you want player numbers, is to buy the media guide. All the info is there.
Also, Sam Mele is the right answer to the next question.
Another question?
