After taking 2 of 3 against the struggling Yankees, Minnesota continues it's homestand with a 3 game series against Seattle. You may recall, Minnesota was on a roadtrip out to the west coast, and essentially got embarrassed by the Mariners. Raul Ibanez owned Twins pitching, and the bullpen couldn't really do much right.
Hopefully, playing under the bubble will bring some comfort for the club as they look to get some payback. They will be facing a former pitcher, and clubhouse favorite in the opening game.
First game features Francisco Liriano (2-3, 6.55 ERA) vs Carlos Silva (4-13, 5.93 ERA)

This is one reason the Twins weren't willing to give him the contract he insisted he needed. His stuff is good, but predictible. Now that I've said this, watch him throw a 3-hitter at the Twins tonight.

But now that you said that ^, he's going to get lit up.
Or did I just jinx it too?
Ahh jeez, I guess we'll just see tonight.

Twins bat 10 in the bottom of the 4th and put up a 7 run inning! Twins lead 9-2 top of the 5th. So far so good for Liriano. Both runs unearned by a error by Boucher.
Silva did not last the 4th inning. 3.1 innings pitched 9 hits 9 runs and 1 homer by Kubel!

With the White Sox losing in Oakland, the Twins are tied for 1st, and have played the same number of games. Lets see if they can win tomorrow. Baker goes for the Twins and has pitched well at home. Perkins, coming off his best start, goes Sunday. I like the matchups.
