Hey guys someone picked him up on my fantasy league, is he back? I'm sorry I haven't been following Twins baseball this offseason, if I i'm not wrong didn't he have Tommy John surgery or something? Because I thought he was suppose to miss this year and be back next year?

If its a keeper league, you might consider stashing him on your DL this season. If not, he will have no value for 2007.

Having a surgery like Tommy John takes a year to recover, normally. So keep that in mind.

Even though it won't help in terms of fantasy, but Liriano should be back by late season. Even though they won't be dumb enough to pitch him, i wouldn't be suprised if he gives a few innings here and there from the bullpen. Although, you gotta question how good he will be....

How many pitchers (hyped) ever recovered back into what they were before the injury?

From what I have seen is that generally pitchers throw harder after TJ surgery, Smoltz had TJ, I believe Nolan Ryan did too(I might be wrong, correct me if I'm)

Adam Eaton came back from TJ surgery strong, at least as far as arm strength goes. He still had some issues with his command.

Bad news for the Twins. I just heard about it tonight.
