    Claudio Vargas came up huge for us tonight
8 innings and a rain delay!!!! Congrats to Vargas  With a four game series in three days and a chance to gove the bullpen a rest, perfect!!! Come on Brewers!!!! |

He came up big time last night, very clutch. I was VERY impressed. This was his best outing of the year, and couldn't have come at a better time!!!!

Vargas is 9-2. Not a bad return for Doug Davis.

Well so much for that. Vargas only goes 2.2 innings. gives up 7 ER's and just didnt have it tonight. Oh well, come on Parra!! You are next.

He still makes me very, very, very nervous. He is a little over-rated for me, but he gets the run support (unlike Capuano) so he gets the job done and is a good #5 pitcher in the rotation. So, if he stays there, I am ok with Vargas. I think he will be in the Pen or traded next year though. Parra and Gallardo are proving to the BRewers that they are ready for the big leagues.
