Knowing our luck he'll probably revert to form now that he's no longer in San Diego.
Thank you for the player But he probably won't blow much for us. We'll probably use him before Cordero. He'll be a reliever to Turnbow...Nice try though.

The Padres used him before Hoffman, he managed to blow a lot of games for us anyways.
(Blew a 3 run lead just the other day )
Seriously, though, if he gets back to form you got one hell of a set up man.

Sure now get the jinx going. Really though we needed someone like him because Grant Balfour or however you spell it is not good in a tight situation. So hopefully this guy will be the plus we need. We'll have Cordero, Turnbow, Parra, and now him. So fingers crossed.

I bet Parra is the one sent down, I believe the Brewers purchased the contract of Balfour. I think that means they need to keep him up their. Not sure?

Speaking from viewing experience of him with the Reds last season, I don't think Balfour is good in any situation.
As for Linebrink, I think the Brewers overpayed for him as he is right now (keep in mind he has PetCo to assist the numbers) but perhaps the Brewers scouts saw if he has had any change from his delivery last season that can be corrected. Linebrink has been a strikeout artist, meaning a dominant reliever/setup man until this season (he has only 25 punchouts in 45 IP, versus last year of having 68 punchouts in 75.2 IP and the year before of having 70 punchouts in 73.2 IP.) I have no doubt he won't be solid for the Brew Crew, but I did like the package the Padres got so I hope Linebrink can regain his form and become the dominant reliever he once was.

First allow me to say thanks for stopping in and saying hello mission.
I agree with you in both arguement. Balfour is not impressing me, but Yost wants another lefty in the pen. And I agree with you on the trade. But the Brewers are so desperate to make the playoffs that they wanted to gamble I guess.
I like Linebrick, hope a change of scenery does him good too!
