Brewers Trade Rumors....

I saw that the Brewers and Indians are interested in Kenny Lofton.


If we all remember correctly Melvin made that big trade last year with the Rangers. And the Brewers did try to sign Lofton in the off-season. But, Lofton did play for the Indians and I would NOT be at all surprised to see him there again either.


My feeling about Lofton is mixed. Love his game, need a true lead-off hitter, and someone who can get on base by bunting, walking, hitting, and still steals bases and is SMART base-runner!!!! But where in the H*** are they going to play him, unless they give them an outfielder like Gross and a prospect. No one else is really worth the price of Lofton after that. But who knows in this day and age.

I just read on the Brewers' website that Gywnn, Jr's name has come up in trade offers, or at least other teams have contacted the Brewers about him.



I sure in the hell hope they do NOT trade him. I will be mighty ticked off if they do that!!! Please Melvin, don't trade away the future for a rental player. I would rather see Mench go.

Personally I don't want Lofton on our team. Like you said there's no where to put him and he won't want to be a bench warmer...As for this...Yes I will be POed too....Mench or even Gross maybe.

As rumors have, the Brewers are willing to package Gywnn, Jr, Wise, and a prospect to the Reds for ADam Dunn. What in the hell do we need another bad defensive player, with high strikeout rate, and plays the outfield. We don't need another power hitter, we need pitching and more pitching.

We have too much of all that listed above!!!

Oh yeah, I also saw on Yahoo! Sports-Rumors yesterday that the Brewers inquired about Octavio Dotel from the Royals. Now, there is something that I understand about going after. Strenthen our bullpen.


Maybe they will trade Dunn to the Royals for him. j/k...



Just hate to see Gywnn and one of our most consistent bullpen guys get traded. Gywnn is suppose to be the future lead-off hitter. eeerrrrrr...
