I like this year's choices as it is a very nice mixture of first timers and veterans. Looks like people actually took time to vote this year besides picking a popular name.
 2008 Giants > Padres  Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts. |

Brandon Phillips is a super solid player, all around. I'm glad his defense gets rewarded this year.

Same here DP35. Phillips might have had a down year with the stick, but he's got one hell of a glove and can make plays showing a tremendous amount of range. It's great to see him recognized for it this year after many felt like he was robbed of it in 2007.
