That's to be expected when two teams that the casual viewer doesn't even know exist plays each other, and then it's riddled by rain delays.

Any real baseball fan enjoyed the series. I know I enjoyed what little of it I was able to watch.

The implication in the question is that I'm asking who, amongst those that are important, cares.

I understand MLB and FOX want to make money, but real baseball fans enjoyed the series and that's all that should matter. (Even though I know it isn't all that matters in the grand scheme of things.)

Why should MLB and FOX care? They have no control over it, unless David Stern is running MLB.

wait....but this world series was MUCH better than the last few world series wich have just been 4 game sweeps! I accually liked the rain delay, made it last longer. It was quite a good 5 games we saw (except for game 3)

The series could have gone 7 and the ratings would still have been bad. There's no market for Tampa. Some people don't even realize the NL still exists.

I agre with leo on this one, who cares if other people who don't follow baseball daily didn't watch the series. Any real fan would have watched the series, i watched it and enjoyed it.
