What A Great Week For Baseball! -

Time is starting to run out on the season and this week is filled with playoff implications. This should be a fun week in baseball.
Tonight kicks it all off with Milwaukee at St. Louis for two games, Boston saying farewell to Yankee Stadium for three, Mets at Philly for two and even the Rays are playing the Jays which should be good. Brewers and Cards are 1 and 2 in the Wild Card right now and the Cards really need a sweep to make up any ground. If they split, they are right back where they were, 3.5 games back. Boston saying goodbye to Yankee Stadium should finally be a treat. We have had Boston/Yankees shoved down our throats and finally it might live up to the hype. Boston needs to win 2 of 3 to try and kill the Yankees playoff hopes early. Yankees need a series win or sweep to prove they aren't dead yet. Mets and Phillies are fighting for the NL East and even the Phills are just 4 games back of the WC. Jays are playing well of late and face the first place Rays. Jays can reek havoc in the playoff picture.
Later in the week comes more great series like the ChiSox at Boston for 3, Jays at New York for 3, Phillies at Chicago for 4 and Mets at Florida for 3.
This week is filled with great match-ups and hopefully great baseball!!

Agreed, it should be a lot of fun...provided my team is winning.
But seriously, this is the beginning of the crucial time for playoff contending teams. Winning is imperative, especially when you play the other good teams. Should be interesting to watch!
