    Looks like Daric Barton decided to take a dip... and not in average.
Athletics placed first baseman Daric Barton on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 14, with a neck strain. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Barton was hurt when he dived into a too-shallow swimming pool over the All-Star break. He ended up with six staples in his head, but the A's were still hoping he'd be ready to go this weekend. Now they'll get by with Wes Bankston and Jack Hannahan at first base for a couple of weeks. My favorites always gonna be Glenn Allen Hill dreaming of spiders, and falling through a glass table.   gm of: the italy mohawks (69-69) |

not baseball related, but Jason Sehorn of the NYG tripped over his dog and twisted his ankle, and was out for 2 weeks

I can't remember who had this freak injury. He was sent to DL after a freaky sneeze. It hurt his ribs or something.

The sneeze incident was Sosa I believe.
I cant remember if it was Mark Kotsay or not but someone was on the DL for a freaking sunburn  Kaz Sasaki messed up his shoulder by falling up the stairs carrying luggage.  CSSL Sponsor of the  and
