Dice-K is 10-1 with an era under 2.6 in a small park like boston, its pretty incredible too when you think he's 10-1 and missed a month with an injury... he's my vote cause he got robbed of an all star game bid
I'm going with my guy (Duke). He's been our guy who goes out and stops losing steaks (with the exception of yesterday because Street blew it). He's been completely lights out, and you can always rely on Duke to give you 7+ strong innings. All this without ever being a starter before in his ML career.
last time i checked a walk is better than a run right? doesn't matter how many walks you give up, the game is determined by the number of runs allowed and he allows very few of them
S3SL: Toronto Blue Jays' GM - still looking for a WS ring
SBSL: Detroit Tigers' GM - the new blood
TSSL: Boston Red Sox's GM - World Series Champs in 2009; contending in 2017
TPSL: Toronto Blue Jays' GM - WC race
Sorry God, Halladay has had one helluva season but went with Danks because he too has had a great season and gets no love whatsoever. I could take off Rivera and put Halladay in but we already have a Yankee fan vote for Rivera. Your write in vote is Halladay.
Giants > Padres
Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.70 career ERA, but has won just 29 of his 95 starts.
I'am also gonna throw my weight behind Halladay for the write in vote.

As much as I would love to throw my vote to Dice-K, I don't think he is the top candidate at this point. My resoning for this is he has a larger ERA than two of the starters that I feel are ahead of him and he does walk entirely too many batters. I had to go with Duke over Cliff Lee because he has been consistently amazing. Lee started out with such a fantastic start and have been still great the rest of the way, but has dropped off a little bit since that phenominal start.
So right now I would say:
1. Justin Duchsherer
2. Cliff Lee
3. Dice K
4. Mariano Rivera
5. John Danks
6. Joe Saunders
I'll be completely honest, I didn't realize just HOW good a year Duchsherer was having. I knew he was having an excellent year, but seeing the numbers for the first time, I can't vote against him.
