If we're going to include Berkman and Chipper Jones I think Adrian Gonzalez should be an option.
I wouldn't vote for him, but I think he deserves to be in the conversation if we're going to consider other players not playing for playoff caliber teams.

I only made six options and didn't find him to be in the top six but you can bring it up. Chipper and the Braves aren't out of anything yet but I do get your point about Berkman and the last place Astros.

It would have to be Chipper. Anyone else would be a idiotic.

actually, I ALMOST went with berkman. those numbers are very enticing. but chipper is helping his team more IMO. However, I would not argue with anyone picking berkman

You know whats strange at this point in time.
We have no Mets talk at this time of the year.
I would have thought that at the start of the season, we would have Beltran, Wright, or somebody from the Mets talked about as an MVP candidate. It's funny how the mighty have fallen.
If Manuel turns things around, I can assume that we will have a Met here for the year end award.

Possibly but no one from the Mets is having that type of year. Pujols is having that year. Ludwick hit just .188 with Pujols on the DL. Pujols makes that team go!! Thanks Jayson Stark Its good to a more diverse opinion on the NL MVP compared to the AL MVP.

Hanley, just to be different. You could make a case for Utley, Pujols, Berkman, or Chipper easy though.
