Manny Changing For The Better?

Today I saw something that blew my mind. Manny Ramirez hit a 430 ft+ homerun and immediately ducked his head and started heading to first. We are all used to seeing his stare the ball down for eight seconds before he starts his trot. Manny is now 8-13 with two homers since putting on the Dodger blue. Manny seems rededicated and focused on getting the Dodgers to the October. In three games he seems to have obtained a little class in the process. Keep it up Manny!!

i'll be honest, i find it hilarious when people stand and watch a bomb they just hit. i hope he doesn't lose his coolness. i think if you tatoo a ball like that, you deserve to be able to watch it like the other thousands of people in the park. of course you risk it not going out and then you look like an idiot. but if it's a no doubter, i have no problem with people watching it. in fact, i find it entertaining.

however, as much as i like his old mannerism, i think it's a good thing that he's focused. hopefully he can find a balance of fun and serious business here in LA, and he'd be the perfect player.

Manny will do it for 2 months cause he wants his 4 yr 100 mil dollar deal... as soon as he signs a new contract he'll be back to normal lazy manny

Also, earlier in the at-bat, Manny hit a little roller down the third base line which just went foul as it crossed the third base bag, though Manny probably thought that the ball would be fair and he was running his ass off to first base. Dude's showing a lot of hustle working for that big free agent contract.

Manny looks like he's changed, but I'm not so sure he has. I mean, maybe he was so deep in his own world he didn't realize he was trying so hard...

Players will always "change" briefly when they change teams but once they get comfortable they'll go back to being themselves. As long as Manny keeps hitting like he has been then everything will be fine.

Manny told Joe Torre not to give him special treatment and Torre told Manny to cut his hari and Manny agreed. Interesting to see when exactly he cuts that hair. I don't care if Manny actually changes who he is but how he plays is what concerns me. So far, he has shown he wants to play like a pro.
