    He's not quite a middle reliever because he is capable of pitching 4 innings, and he's not quite a mopup reliever, because he keeps his team in the game.
Today he threw 4 shutout innings in relief of Chan Ho Park a.k.a. sorriest pitcher in the league according to Madre fans. n = [log (($17 million amount deferred x .02754 interest daily periodic rate)/30 days in cycle) - log ($5 million base x .02514 interest nominal periodic rate/162 games prorated in cycle)]/log (1+i) |

This may be a Kuo appreciation thread, but the joke with the thread title went over your head. The role that I termed "mid-game starter" isn't exactly a glorified position like quarterback.
