Prov A's sticks around to keep the Angels from taking over his A's.....plus he's just an all around good baseball fan and wealth of information. I think it's bull. They should keep it at Anahiem Angels, even California Angels wouldn't be bad. I started watching them back in the early '90's when they were the California Angels.

The Angels are not my favorite team, but I have had a chance to see and meet many of the kids that have come through their farm system. I go to see their Midwest League affiliate as often as I can -- the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
They have some promising players there this season -- Hainley Statia, another in a long line of middle infielders that have come through the system, Tommy Mendoza, a 19 year old pitcher with good stuff, Nick Adenhart -- a 20 year old pitcher that moved to Rancho Cucamonga in July, and Brad Coon, an outfielder with good speed and a great arm. I'll report on the team next season. |

I will do so as time allows. My wife and I know the Cedar Rapids GM (he is a cousin of a classmate of mine that I met when we were kids). I'll try to get to their welcome luncheon and talk to the manager. They are usually very approachable.
