There is no deserving case for K Rod.

Hamilton shouldn't even be in this discussion and he wouldn't be if he didn't have 130 RBI's. Don't get me wrong, he had a good season but it wasn't exactly like he had to struggle to find RBI opportunities with the Texas lineup.

K-Rod should not win MVP. I'm sorry, but no matter how good a closer is, they should never win MVP. They pitch one inning a game. I'm actually against any pitcher winning MVP, because they have the Cy-Young for that. But I'm not getting into that discussion again. K-Rod doesn't have the numbers to justify a closer winning MVP. The saves are it. Not the ERA, nothing. Quentin/Hamilton '08

He's the 2nd place vote in my book. Yes he played in Arlington, and yes his RBI's were a bit inflated because of that lineup. But still, to get 130 RBI's, you have to be clutch, no question about it. And clutch is what the MVP is all about

I'm sticking with Youkilis as my MVP. He kept the Red Sox afloat when Mike Lowell went down. He played GG defense at both first and third and did a damn good job filling in for Manny in the cleanup spot. Youk did it all!!
Krod did have a a part in winning 64 of the Angles 100 wins. He also had the same amount of saves as the Angels had losses which is astounding!! All that said, Youk is more deserving.  2008 Giants > Padres  Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts. |

People put TOO much emphasis on ballparks. They matter but not near as much as people think. People were saying Soriano wouldn't be able to keep his power going from Texas to Washington. Boy were THEY wrong!! Hamilton can hit anywhere. He just played on a lousy team.
