    I just saw one of the sickest things I have ever seen in baseball. Jason Bay hit a would be HR to CF. But Maier leaped up at the wall and put his glove on it, only he couldn't hold on to the ball and it rolled on top of the fence. While the ball was rolling on top ofthe wall, Gload hussled over and slapped it off the wall, picked it up and threw it to the cutoff man.
No out was made, but it saved a 3-run HR. Very weird play, but awesome to see.

That's the second time this season I've seen this similar play occur. Back at Yankee Stadium, there was a would-be homerun ball that bounced on top of the left field wall for a couple of times before coming to rest on top of the wall, it eventually fell back into play after like 5 seconds (which is long). Heads up play by Ross here to race over and knock it back and catch it with his glove before the ball fell.

As a Red Sox fan, I didn't care Bay was robbed of a HR, that play was so f'n cool, when it gets on youtube i'll post it.

I saw it last night. Very strange play to see....good play by whoever the left fielder was....Gload i think? That's just heads up hustle baseball.
