Already on the DL with a tight shoulder, John Bale punched a door at the team hotel, fracturing his pitching hand. Ironically, according to manager Trey Hillman, Bale was close to coming off the DL. Tough break (no pun intended) for Bale. Hopefully he'll be able to come back soon. And hopefully we'll find out nothing like alcohol or drugs were involved in this unfortunate incident.

Man there has been a lot of pitchers over the years who have broken their hands by punching something. You would think they would have gotten the picture by now to stop doing it.

Rumor is he had just learned he was being demoted to the bullpen when he came off the DL.
