The Astros are just TRASH this year.

They lost 17 of their last 20, lost 8 straight, got swept by the Yankees and Orioles, lost series to Brewers (twice), Cardinals (twice), and Pirates.

They are one of the worst teams in the NL. Something needs to be done.

They are definetly a team in transition. This is sad because they just sent Patton, Albers, and Sarfate for the aging Tejada.

i thought it was a pretty foolish trade even before all the other stuff came out about tejada.

Yes it was. A team that I thought was going to start rebuilding around players like Hunter Pence and Michael Bourne. Now they get rid of a corner OF that is hitting rather well for the Orioles and 3 pitchers who are going to special.

foolish for the Orioles. Patton and Albers are damaged goods and Sarfate isn't so hot himself.

The Astros are doing their usual second half push. The Hawkins and Wolf trades are starting to make sense. Scary thought.
