Houston had a horrible start but have started to right the ship and are now at .500. Lance Berkman is having a MVP type season so far hitting .325 with 10 HRs and 31 RBI. Miguel Tejada has shown that the HGH and age scandals aren't affected him one bit by hitting .349 with 5 HRs and 25 RBI. Roy Oswalt has started to settle down and who knew Shawn Chacon would be doing so well. Chacon has no record but has a 3.32 ERA in six starts. The offense has been carrying this team though. Wandy Rodriguez went down to injury and Valverde has really struggled in the closer's role. As long as the offense can keep banging away, the Astros have a shot.

They have a nice offense, but I just dont think they have the pitching to stay in the race. Even though it is difficult for me to say that since they just swept my beloved Brewers in a 3 game set. OUCH!! That is still stinging me a bit.
