As poorly as Biggio has been hitting this year, I'm glad the Astros have enough respect for him to keep giving him his chance at 3,000 hits. If it was anybody else he would probably be seeing a little bench time with his .235 average.

I am still counting it down. Very awesome to see them still allow him to go for this. But he is their franchise anyhow. The face of the team. I dont see them sitting him often anyhow. They are used to him getting out of slumps.

He is currently at 2978 hits, 22 away from 3,000.

0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts yesterday, and the average now down to .230.
I sure hope Biggio can get his bat going. If the Astros start to jump back into contention but Biggio is still in the .230's, or lower, I would hate to see a chance of him getting benched.
