Frank Robinson doesn't **** around. Ohka acted like a baby and Frank said adios. Good for the Nationals even though Ohka wasn't doing that bad. Brewers get another arm and the Nats get a nice temporary replacement for Vidro. After Baerga's blunder last night, I guess they needed a change.

Like this trade for the Nats. Good to see a manger not taking crap from a player.

They also acquired Ryan Drese off waivers today. Bust day for the first place Nats.

When Vidro comes back, they should move Spivey to short.

He might not be able to play there, but hell, can't be any worse than Guzman.

Nats give up one of their starting pitchers for a backup 2b. Bad trade for the Nats, tho Ohka will probably blow as a Brewer.

Counting down to: The end of Andruw Jones's contract with the Dodgers:

n = [log (($17 million amount deferred x .02754 interest daily periodic rate)/30 days in cycle) - log ($5 million base x .02514 interest nominal periodic rate/162 games prorated in cycle)]/log (1+i)

Can Spivey top a .457 OPS while not losing that much on D? If so, move him to SS.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Milwaukee's rotation might be the most underrated in baseball?

V. Santos 2-5, 2.74
C. Capuano 5-5, 3.40
T. Ohka 4-3, 3.33
B. Sheets 2-5, 3.65
D. Davis 8-5, 3.68

Yep. When

A) Ben Sheets has the second highest ERA in the rotation
and
B) Your worst ERA is 3.68

It's a damn good rotation. Tough luck, although my boy Douggie Fresh has 8 wins.

This was a good deal for both teams, assuming they do move Spivey to SS when Vidro is back. You cant get worse than Guzman at SS.....wait we had Valdez........anyways Okha will continue to have as solid season for the Brewers who all of a sudden have one of the most solid 1-5 rotations in baseball.

I think the Brew Crew got the better end of that deal.

Ohka is a good pitcher. He can complement the Brewers starting rotation. What happened to him with Frank Robinson was unfortunate. It shouldn't have happened.

I had no idea what the Nats were thinking overpaying Guzman in the first place. His numbers have declined badly after he made the All-Star Team in 2001. It's really sad how everything has fallen for him. Guzman was a must-see player to watch when the Twins acquired him in 1998. It's too bad things fell apart for him.
