He's a bargain, plus players do better when they have other hitters in the lineup who can actually hit, unlike in SD.

I'm not saying he's a great player like he once was, and I personally think his struggles at Petco Park had an affect on his struggles on the road as well.

If he let that affect him, then that's a problem. Just like you don't let an offensive slump affect your fielding, you can't let a problem at home affect your road production
