I hope Sabean has learned his lesson about signing aged veterans by now.

I agree that Torre is good at bringing a team together, as you said Reef, but he does have his issues. The Dodgers will have to twist his arm to play the youngsters. Torre really likes his vets. Experience almost always trumps potential in his book. I would be very frightened by the report that he'd like to see Bernie join him in LA (as a player).

Yeah Bernie coming back is disturbing but Torre has already acknowledged the youth movement and really doesn't have veterans to play over Kemp and Loney.
