    I think it would be to the Yankees benefit to hire Girardi. He claims to have turned down the Baltimore opening last offseason to spend more time with his family. I think he turned it down because it wasn't the Yankees.
Mattingly I think has a good shot. He seems to be the Boss' guy. I am not sure, but I think Steinbrenner appointed him bench coach, not Torre. Also weren't there rumors that Mattingly was clamoring to become manager soon or he'd leave? |
