If the A's could afford Bonds, then why the hell didn't Beane try to lock Mark Mulder up for few more years instead of trading him to the Cards? I am sure it's cheaper than either Bonds' making.

For Bonds' salary, Beane could have locked up Zito and one of the two he traded most likely.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

if you read the story, we were giving them kendall, dotel, and byrnes, which is about $17 million a year. And I think it suggested the Giants giving us some money, so it may have been a wash or only adding a couple million. The money was not the issue. The whole idea is just absurd because first we were getting Giambi back, then we should trade for Bonds...it's a different rumor every week

The Giants would not be dumb enough to trade Bonds. They make so much off Bonds is it ridiculous to even bring it up. They want Barry to break those records as a Giant.

2008 Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.

I think he means that SF fans that are fans of Bonds would go to the games and argue with A's fans about Bonds being on roids or not.

IF this ever happened they would have to shut down the golden gate as Giants fans would be jumping by the busload.

At least the sharks would have plenty to eat.
