The 1st Place Marlins

After the first month of baseball, the Marlins are in first place by half a game. Pretty shocking eh? You know what else is shocking? How they are pulling this off and that's with power and pitching. The Marlins are tied for second in homeruns with Baby Backs, another shocker, and the White Sox. They are getting power throughout that lineup.

Ramirez- 8 HRs
Jacobs- 7 HRs
Willingham- 6 HRs
Uggla- 4 HRs
Jorge Cantu- 3HRs

The pitching has been ever more surprising! Hendrickson and Olsen are leading a rotation with not much else to speak of. The bullpen is the 6th best in all of baseball. Renyel Pinto and Justin Miller setting up Kevin Gregg is a winning forumla. This team has a lot of talent and Andrew Miller should improve throughout the season. The East and opposing pitchers have their hands full
with these Marlins.
