Marlins at the plate: Miguel Cabrera singled to left in the first inning, accounting for the Marlins' only hit through the first four frames. He later scored on an error. Florida added a run in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk.

Dodgers at the plate: The Dodgers scored three times in the fifth. Jason Repko and Russel Martin sparked the offense with back-to-back doubles, and Ramon Martinez drove in two more runs with a two-out bases-loaded single. Minor League callup Blake DeWitt hit a sacrifice fly to tack on another run in the seventh. Matt Kemp hit an RBI double in the third, accounting for the Dodgers' initial run.

Marlins on the mound: Right-hander Ricky Nolasco, making his first start of the spring, allowed one run on three hits and two walks and struck out two in 2 2/3 innings. He threw 48 pitches, 25 for strikes. Non-roster invitee Roy Corcoran pitched 1 1/3 innings, allowing no hits, walking one and striking out three. Left-hander Chris George allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in the fifth. George also struck out two in the inning.

Dodgers on the mound: Starter Mark Hendrickson pitched three solid innings, allowing one unearned run, one hit, one walk and striking out two. He threw 56 pitches, 37 for strikes. Righty D.J. Houlton pitched two hitless innings in relief.

Grapefruit League records: Marlins 2-9-1; Dodgers 7-6.

Up next: Right-hander Sergio Mitre, who appeared in just 15 games in an injury-plagued 2006 season, will make his first start of the spring for the Marlins at 1:10 p.m. ET on Sunday against the Mets at Port St. Lucie, Fla. He goes up against veteran lefty Tom Glavine. The Dodgers host the Nationals at 1:05 p.m. in Vero Beach, with Brad Penny starting for Los Angeles and lefty Chris Michalak on the mound for Washington.
