Joel Zumaya and Fernando Rodney, both dealing with shoulder injuries, made their last extended spring training starts Saturday.
Zumaya's fastball was clocked at 97 mph. Rodney's was down to 93, but his changeup apparently looked excellent. Zumaya will start his rehab assignment next week at Single-A Lakeland, while Rodney will get going at Triple-A Toledo. "Knock on wood, if they don't have any setbacks, they'll both be back in June," manager Jim Leyland said.

The Tigers desperately need these guys back if they are to get back to the top of the Central.

Joel Zumaya (shoulder) threw two scoreless innings Tuesday in his first rehab appearance for Single-A Lakeland.
He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out one. Zumaya is already back in the high-90s with his fastball, so the Tigers probably won't want him to spend too much time in the minors.

Great news for the Tigers!! I love watching this guy bring the heat and seeing triple digits. Hopefully he can still do it.

As long as he doesn't play video games in the clubhouse, he should be fine.
The Tigers have other issues to deal with, but getting these 2 back would be very good for their chances to make the playoffs.

Yes Rodney and Zumaya will help the pen. The Tigers could still come back and win the division.

Both these guys can be amazing, especially Zumaya. I hope his injury don't affect his velocity and he can still reach the triple digits.
