As poor of a start, the division is still very winnable. Sabathia had a horrible start but has since gotten into a groove, his ERA is down to just over 4 and the strikeouts have returned. He eats up a lot of innings and his command is usually good, and we all know he had a great year last season.

The indians should get Carmona back soon, and maybe the offense will figure something out. Hafner may never be the hitter he once was and Sabathia has more homeruns than Victor Martinez.

Should they unload Hammerin' C.C.? And what could they get and who's in best shape to acquire him?

Ask me July 31st. They are still in this race and do have room to improve without dealing Sabathia.

2008 Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.

I'd deal him. But, to keep it fair I think he should stay in Ohio.

I wouldn't consider trading him unless they really fall out of the race. Because he's a FA, I don't think they'll get sufficient prospects back to justify dealing him. I mean, the main suitor is the Yankees. And what will the Yankees offer? They have the prospects....they just don't want to deal them. And Cashman doesn't seem to want CC anyway
