How is it horrible?? You don't know what you got for him yet!! Plus he couldn't hit with RISP and the Reds weren't going anywhere with him. It is time to move on. Dunn has a ton of power but not much else. The Reds can find a better all around player somewhere else.

I have been all for the Reds trading Dunn for a few years now.
2008 Giants > Padres Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts. |

But who do you really think they'll get with Dallas Buckfoston? I'd be highly shocked if it was Scherzer or Parker, as much as they were coveting both.

I don't think it will be that good of a package but do think it will be something nice. The Reds sending money over with Dunn pretty much ensures that. No other reason I can think of for the Reds to still be paying Dunn unless they get a good package. Most of the DBacks good spects play either first or third where the Reds don't need help unless they move Encarnacion.

To me it appears that Dunn had recently expressed he was not interested in signing an extension. If that is the case, Jocketty must have thought that this package was better than the picks we would have received if we let him walk. So either Jocketty is really high on Buck, or some of the undisclosed prospects.
