I LOATHE Corey Patterson!!! I'm surprised that Baker hasn't pushed for Bonds being signed. If that happens, I will renounce my allegiance to the Reds FOREVER!!!

I do agree Bruce should be up here. But here is what I feel the Reds are thinking:

1. Hes a corner outfielder, hes not going to be a good defensive centerfielder so I'm thinking the Reds want to call him up and give him the best chance to succeede.

2. Like many others have said, hes not a leadoff hitter. Don't put him in a situation hes not use to. The Reds don't have a leadoff hitter at this point. Keppinger, Hopper, or Freel is about as close as your going to get to one off this roster and of course 2 of those 3 guys are out at the moment.

With all that being said I don't believe his call up is too far off. Maybe Jr. will be moved to Seattle for Clement and Dunn for Marcum That would create spots for Bruce

I agree Doro.....I don't see Bruce being our CF of the future. I think that Drew Stubbs is going to be, I have heard he has been playing a pretty sick defensive CF and his bat is coming along nicely too.

My prediction is he comes up after Griffey is traded and plays RF for us.

I would renounce mine until Patterson, Baker, and Bonds were gone even then I'd probably look over it again.

Yeah, I'm sure Jocketty, in trying to impress a very impatient Castellini, hasn't called up Bruce yet because Dusty wouldn't want him to.

Plus, Dusty has heaped praise upon Bruce, so I doubt it's that either.

When Jocketty thinks he's ready, he'll be up, and I expect that to be soon.

Right now I'm enjoying the team playing some of the best fundamental baseball it has in years, and I hope it continues.

By the way, Patterson continues to shine defensively. He may have saved the team a few runs just tonight alone with his defense. Definitely a viable option until Bruce does come up.

By the way, Jocketty pretty much said that Junior isn't going to be traded and Junior's the one standing in Bruce's way. I love Junior, but its time for a change for both parties involved.

He pretty much said it in the article in the Cincinnati Enquirer yesterday. He said that Junior has told him that he wants to stay in Cincy to win a title. He also intimated that since Junior isn't going to be moved, that Bruce is stuck until he forces their hand.

yeah i really think that Bruce will not get the call until Jr or Dunn are moved or get hurt.. and all this wishfull thinking of him coming up is.. just that wishfull thinking..
