Konerko hurts chest during batting practice, could be headed to DL

Chicago first baseman Paul Konerko could be headed to the disabled list after straining a muscle near his rib cage before the White Sox's game against Colorado on Sunday. "It's definitely gotten a little sore as the day goes on," he said. Manager Ozzie Guillen said he'll be reevaluated before the White Sox open a three-game series against Pittsburgh on Tuesday. "They're going to see how he feels," Guillen said. "When you have those problems with the rib cage, I hope for the best but I'm not too optimistic about it."
