When the A's are coming in on a massive wave and a big streak with some wins against their division rivals and the division lead, the Orioles are falling fast in the division, so of course, they sweep the A's. What happened?

Extremely impressive by Dubose in his emergency start considering his previous outing and Todd Williams got his first MLB save to boot. The offense is getting a boost from Matos while Byrnes/Sosa struggle, and Palmeiro got some more attention, but still impressive. The Angels can use that stoppage of momentum.

And Arte Moreno should now be suing for his fruit basket since they just laid down for the A's, giving them their momentum back. Really tough day today, a lot of walks and it just highlights their problems.

We started getting our momentum against the Tigers...we took 2 of 3 (2 in a row scoring 20 runs) and now have 5 in a row (scoring 46 runs and only giving up 10 for an average score of approximately 9 - 2) .

This will be a very interesting race as up to seven realistic teams (Sox, Yanks, Indians, Twins, White Sox, A's, Angels) are in the running for four playoff spots. I'm psyched to see how it plays out.
