And streaks like these often become a distraction to the team and the player. I am not saying that this was the case for Miggy, but the team itself sometimes did get too involved with it.

Yes it was reported that Miggy will not start baseball activities till at least the beginning of August. The Orioles will go with a platoon at SS in his absence with Chris Gomez & Freddie Bynum.
