    Braves Braves Demote Chuck James

    Atlanta has sent struggling starter Chuck James to AAA-Richmond today. The lefty has really been hit hard, compiling a 2-3 record with an 8.22 ERA in 5 starts.

    The Braves called up right-handed reliever Phil Stockman, who was 1-0 with a 0.77 ERA in 23 1/3 innings of work at Richmond. Stockman played in the 2004 Athens Olympics as well as 2005's WBC, both with Australia.
