Diamondbacks optioned RHP Micah Owings to Triple-A Tucson.
A move that probably should have happened weeks ago. Owings might have to be written off for the rest of 2008. He's supposed to be healthy, but he hasn't pitched like it in a couple of months now. Yusmeiro Petit will take his place in the rotation.
Owings got off to a hot start and then went nowhere. I haven't heard any reports that Owings is hurt. Could we see another Rick Ankiel type trunaround from Owings?

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.
